Close Kneel Stance
From Martial Arts Wiki
Close Kneel Stance – From a Neutral Stance, drop the rear knee inward and downwards so that the bent knee is about 6 inches from the ground. The forward foot is at a 45° angle to the opponent and the rear foot is resting on the ball of the foot, with the heel off the ground. Weight distribution is 50-50. This stance is used to drop low, and at the same time still remains straight. With the knee pressing inward this provides cover of the groin. Since the body drops downward Gravitational Marriage can be employed with a strike such as the breaking of the opponent’s elbow as it is pinned on one’s forward leg. Another application of the Close Knee Stance is that it can be used for Checking and Pinning.
