Contouring Principle – Is the Principle in which the Kenpoist uses the “contour” or “outline” of an opponent’s body or body part to the Kenpoist’s advantage. Seishindo Kenpo is based on “Economy of Motion” this means getting the desired results in the easiest, most direct, and most effective manner; and by using the least amount of time and energy by the user. The Contouring Principle allows this to happen. The Contouring Principle allows “Economy of Motion” to happen in several ways. These subcategories are Complementary Angles, Tracking, and Fitting.
