Economy Of Motion – What counts isn’t really how fast the hand, foot, or body moves, but how quickly it can get to where it’s going to apply the attack or defense. Obviously, if the hand moves 50 miles an hour, but has only six pages to go to reach its goal, it’s going to get there sooner than if it moves 100 miles an hour, but has to travel 3 feet. It must be short and fast and effective to be considered economical.
