Positioning
From Martial Arts Wiki
Positioning – Is placing one’s self in a position of protection to limit the possibilities of attack from the unknown. Proper body positioning is also important as it relates to incoming attack. This involves different stances such as the Neutral Stance, Reverse Stance, Cat Stance, Close-Kneel Stances as proper hand positioning. These stances and hand positioning involved protection of the body to minimize access to one’s vital areas. But remember not to plant or become solid in a stance, remain loose and agile, allowing quick change from one position to another. Putting Awareness, Range, and Positioning together brings alertness into Focus.
