Roundhouse Kick

Roundhouse Kick – Like the Roundhouse Punch, it follows the same horizontal half-moon path towards its Target. The Roundhouse Kick can be executed from the Front Leg as well as the Rear Leg. In both cases the execution of the kick remains the same.

From a right Neutral Stance, and executing a Front Leg Roundhouse Kick:
1. Lift the right leg upward so that the leg is bent at the knee. The foot should be cocked tightly by the right hip, and the knee should be pointed towards its Target.
2. Snap the foot outward towards its Target, making contact on the up side of the path of action.
3. Return the kick back to its original position (Reverse Motion).
4. Place the foot back on the ground and back into a right Neutral Stance.

To execute a Rear Leg Roundhouse Kick from a right Neutral Stance:
1. Lift the rear left foot off the ground and bend it at the knee. The foot should be cocked tightly by the left hip, and the knee should be pointed towards itsTarget.
2. Snap the foot outward towards its Target, making contact on the up side of the path of action.
3. Return the kick back to its original position (Reverse Motion).
4. Place the foot back into a Left Neutral Stance.
